Rebecca Ferlotti (she/her) is a writer, poetry instructor, nonfiction book editor, and content marketer by trade. She has been writing poems since second grade and is finally getting around to publishing that book she’s talked about since then. Her debut poetry collection, which focuses on nature and existentialism, is with her beta readers and will be out for submission in summer 2026. Her poems are published or are forthcoming in Poetry South, The Bayou Review, ONE ART, and other journals. Rebecca’s work also has been supported by the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop.
Rebecca has been teaching writing for over a decade, starting in collegiate writing centers, moving to larger-scale presentations on storytelling, and morphing into poetry workshops through the Cuyahoga County Public Library system (CCPL). She’s a big fan of ekphrasis, and her events outside of CCPL typically have an ekphrastic focus.
With a B.A. in English (Creative Writing) and an M.A. in Communications Management (Marketing and PR), Rebecca’s career felt fated to be content marketing. She has worked with clients in many different industries, but poets/nonfiction authors and food and beverage clients always have had a special place in her heart.
Rebecca grew up in the hospitality industry, with her dad as the general manager of a country club and her mom as a professional chef. She attended vocational school for culinary arts, and while it wasn’t the right fit, she still loves to cook and bake.
As a die-hard Clevelander, Rebecca is always searching for cool places to gush about. She is a frequent contributor to Destination Cleveland’s guides and blog. And if you ask her for recommendations for things to do around town, be prepared for a comprehensive list…or just tell her you want the abridged version!
